From these signs which are in Phoenix's Papago Park it sure
seems like the city of Phoenix, Arizona is a racist city that has
one set of laws for Mexicans and Latinos and another set of
laws for White folks.
OK, maybe I should say that the city of Phoenix is a racist city that has one set of laws for Spanish speaking people and another set of laws for English speaking people.
Phoenix Papago Park is a rather large park which stretches 2 or so miles from McDowell Road on the north to Van Buren on the south, and from Priest Drive and Galvin Parkway on the west to the Crosscut Canal on the east. Papago Park includes the Phoenix Zoo and the Phoenix Desert Botanical Gardens. I happened to be in Papago Park one day and I noticed that signs with the regulations and rules for fishing in the parks lakes had different rules on the English and Spanish signs. A number of the fishing limits on the signs in Spanish were higher then the fishing limits in the English signs. I don’t know if the city of Phoenix is teaming up with Sheriff Joe Arpio's gang of racist thugs and attempting to find creative ways to run Latinos out of the country by setting higher catch limits in the Spanish signs and then arresting Spanish speaking people that break the law when they think the higher limits are legal.

This isn’t the first time I have seen signs put up by the
city of Phoenix that have different rules for the Spanish speaking people, then
the English speaking people.
On Tuesday, December 8, 2009, the East Valley Tribune wrote an article about how the light rail signs have a different set of rules for Spanish speaking people then English speaking people. Also this isn’t the first time the city of Phoenix has made up imaginary laws and posted them in Phoenix Parks. The one I remember are signs that are used to run homeless people out of Phoenix parks which say something like: No shopping carts allowed in park - CC 24-26But then you go to the Phoenix city code and look up CC 24-26 it doesn’t say a thing about shopping carts being illegal in Phoenix parks. It says No person shall operate a skateboard, conventional or in-line roller skates, bicycle, wagon, or other wheeled vehicle or device in a public park where one or more signs are posted prohibiting such activity, or in a manner which causes injury to any person or damage to public or private property.I wouldn’t have a problem if the city of Phoenix posted a silly sign that said Operating shopping carts in a reckless manner is illegalBut of course a sign like that wouldn’t serve the purpose of running homeless folks out of the park so the tyrants at the city of Phoenix simply lied and made up the sign which said shopping carts are illegal in city parks. |
